LITTLE RED COAT

I purchased this coat from HOBBS winter's collection last year because I really liked the design and colour. I felt rather daring that day choosing a red coat over black. But to be honest with you, I've only worn this coat three times. It's a great piece to have in the wardrobe, something to brighten up those dull/rainy days, but on freezing cold days I'd have to layer up a lot to stay warm. So, it's not really one of my favourite purchases (sadly).
These photos were taken earlier this year in February. I know I haven't been as good at keeping my blog updated, but hey, I have my personal life and other responsibilities to take care of away from my blog too. Anyway, I put this outfit together really quickly, as I wanted to experiment a bit with this coat. I simply worn a denim dress, a pair of pastel pink socks, white trainers and grabbed a backpack to finish off my casual/lazy look. As soon as I put on this red coat, the outfit looked a bit more interesting. I just wanted to prove to myself that this coat can be worn casually as well, and I don't actually need to wait for a special occasion to wear it.

WEARING DARK GREEN

All I can say right now is everything's starting to come together nicely. I've finally settled into my new flat in London, and also my new job - I'm enjoying it a lot so far! It took a few months for me to get used to all the changes though, but I'm feeling happy and positive that this is just the beginning of all the exciting things that's about to happen!
Anyway, here I am with a quick outfit post. I wasn't planning to shoot this outfit but then I thought why not? It's a rather simple outfit, but it's definitely an outfit I'd wear on my casual/relaxed days. I got this dark green shirt from & other stories (that's one of my favourite stores!), washed it once and now it's ruined as the sleeves are falling apart! I got to be honest here but it's definitely heartbreaking as it's not at all worth the price that I paid for. Another thing is I really like this colour, it's something different and I think this shirt had a great potential when it comes to styling. I would of loved to wear it tucked into a white culottes similar to this one from Elizabeth and James or a nude one from 3.1 Phillip Lim with a pair of orange block heels for a chic contrasted look. The backpack was a bargain from Primark, I bought it because I needed something that I could just throw everything into for my lazy day out and not having to worry about organising my bag. I think my trousers and backpack has helped and toned down the dark green shirt though, otherwise wearing it with darker shades from head to toe would of made this outfit look too harsh.

KHAKI | OOTD

Khaki is currently one of the most trendiest colour for autumn/winter this year, and I'm loving it! It's definitely not a typical girly shade, but that's the beauty of it because not all women are girly. I think one of the best ways to tone down the toughness of any shades of khaki is by styling with white, pastel or neutral tones. I still remember my first ever khaki piece of clothing. I was about thirteen, and it was a pair of khaki chinos that my mum has purchased randomly for me. Obviously, I listened to her advice as she told me how 'cool' I would look if I worn it on a school trip to France. I got so excited, paired it up with some random things and was confident that I could pull it off. I was soooooo wrong, hahaha!
I'm really pleased with my new khaki cardigan though. It's warm, looks very simple and rather practical as well as it has two pockets, one on each side. The material is soft and isn't too thick so you can easily layer up with your winter coat. I don't know about you but I absolutely hate (I know hate is a strong word, but for this occasion it's necessary) that moment when your long sleeves cardigans/jumpers rolls up half way inside your coat/jacket sleeves. It's such an annoying feeling that I can't really put into words, but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say.

LACE CROCHET DENIM | OOTD

I really think white and lace are the dreamiest elements ever existed in fashion.  And currently, 20% of my wardrobe consist of white, which I think is a good amount because white goes with every other shades so you can't really go wrong.  The only thing that could go wrong is when you go out for a meal, and you drop a bit of food (curry or spaghetti bolognese are the worst!) onto your white clothes.  Oh yes, that situation is guaranteed to crush your heart into pieces.

I've always been a great fan of denim.  I grew up wearing denim jeans, denim skirt and denim dungarees.  It feels satisfying when I invest money into a new pair of jeans because I know they'll last forever.  I'm talking about denim jeans, as I feel that white or black jeans doesn't really give me the  excitement as denim does.  As soon as I turned 18, I really got into ripped jeans.  I remember that back in school days a lot of girls thought ripped jeans looked too 'manly', some even said they were 'ugly' so most girls worn only black leggings.  Because (apparently) you would look a lot cooler wearing the same things as all of the popular girls.  I didn't give a damn what they thought, I've never been a fan of the 'short t-shirt and see-through leggings' trend anyway.  It's funny actually, as ripped jeans are everywhere now.  And all of a sudden, many young people agreed that they are rather 'sexy'.
I bought these denim-washed ripped shorts from a local boutique in Bangkok, and the cropped crochet top was actually from Primark's previous summer collection!  I simply added a white lacy cardigan and a green reflector sunglasses to make this outfit look a bit fancier.  You'd be surprised what statement pieces could do to your outfit.  Just remember, don't over do it!

VERTICAL STRIPES | OOTD

I knew I always loved fashion from a young age, but it wasn't until three years ago when I finally realised how much I want to live and grow old with it.  I remember flicking through fashion magazines that my mum used to subscribed to, and how I was secretly excited when new issues arrived every month.  Praew (Thai women's magazine), was the first magazine that I started flicking through at the age of eight.  I still remember how much I enjoyed styling my Barbie dolls, and even making new dresses/outfits for them by cutting up my own clothes from GAP KIDS… Hahaha, sorry mum!
I'm a big fan of stripes.  I'm not fussed whether they're vertical or horizontal, as long as they're combined with 'white', they tend to be my go-to-piece.  For me, stripes trend is a classic.  They always look trendy and you can match them with anything from denim, leather or pulling off a minimalistic look by wearing all-vertical stripes on their own.  Although, there are no strict rules with fashion, and what you choose to wear is totally up to you!  Just because someone else is wearing something different to how you would wear it, doesn't mean they're wrong.  Wear what you feel comfortable in and have fun matching up what you already have in your wardrobe.  You don't need to go out and spend a fortune on things that you're unsure of.  The secret of being well-dressed is actually knowing what's appropriate to wear for what occasions, it's not all about the total cost of your entire outfit.
Sometimes, I get slightly jelly (jealous) of those who lives in a country full of warm sunshine and trees full of pretty blossoms, it would be a dream for me to wear summery clothes every day throughout the entire year!  I love autumn/winter fashion trends, but being a petite built at 5 feet 4 inches and a half, I don't often enjoy layering tons of clothes, jumpers then winter coat on myself!  Luckily, I've managed (just) to walk against strong winds in the winter without flying away to another planet though.  Is there anybody else who can relate to this!?
Till next time,

BLACK MOHAIR | OOTD

I've always been a fan of the faux mohair jumpers and cardigans.  They have that unusual look and texture that I like, plus they're very soft and comfortable to wear on a regular basis.  Last year, I bought a v-neck mohair jumper from Topshop, and to be honest with you, I worn it twice since I bought it.  The problem wasn't the fact that my mum mistaken it as a rug and thought I looked like a 'walking-grass' (because it was green/yellowish), but it turned out to be quite big for me.  I always feel like mohair jumpers are more difficult to wear on it's own (especially when they're v-neck) as the weight kind of drags it down and the only way I can describe the material is like a cheap-knitted winter scarf.  I constantly had to pull it up, so it put me off from wearing it.  Luckily, I've found a solution to that problem… Wear another top such as a shirt, blouse or even a turtle neck jumper underneath.  By doing it that way, you can dress it up by adding layers of necklaces or wear a scarf, then nobody will know that your jumper was too big for you!
I got this faux mohair cardigan from Primark, it is surprisingly warm and is stretchy enough incase I do want to wear a thick layer underneath.  Personally, I'd wear it as a jacket because it does look rather fancy as a cardigan.  But I wouldn't recommend wearing this as a coat when it's really cold, unless you know you won't be outside for too long.  It's just another great item to have this season if you're looking to spice up an outfit.  It may not be everyone's cup of tea but you really don't need to over-spend on something you're not sure about.  As long as the quality is good, you look and feel good in it, then your money is well-spent.  And it's black, you can't really go wrong with that!

CONTEMPORARY MEETS HISTORICAL | OOTD

I admit that I am a modern sort of person, and I love that!  I enjoy the 'slide to unlock' and being able to keep my friends and family updated about where I am and teasing them with food pics through one device.  Fashion, art and music are three of the most influential elements of my life.  I would always have my music on loud when I get ready, and usually wear what I feel depending on my mood that day.  Obviously, I haven't dyed my hair to a crazy colour, and I don't really have a strict style to how I dress either.  I think it's fun to try new styles/looks, but leather is definitely one of my favourites!
Personally, I think trousers are super comfortable and practical.  I can do whatever without having to worry about my butt showing when it's windy.  So last summer I've said my farewells to those flawy (and rather short) pretty-looking skirts I used to wear.  Anyway, you wouldn't believe how long I've been searching for a nice pair of leather trousers.  It got to the point where I given up looking for one because it has been so difficult trying to find one that fits me properly.  Luckily, when I was in Paris I found a great pair and the length is perfect!  It's definitely one of the most comfortable leather trousers I've ever tried on!

PARISIAN STREETS | OOTD

It's a fact that the French are the king and queen of minimalism.
From their hair all the way down to their toes, you'd often find that they are very well-groomed and look effortlessly polished.  They are often spotted with sharp tailored clothing with minimal wear of jewellery.  But don't expect to see lots of crazy pastel hair either, they're not so popular there.  I always feel that they don't follow the trends, but they set them.  I noticed that a lot of people (including fashion bloggers) are becoming more interested in the minimalist style recently.  I have days like that too, when I want to look laid back or too busy (or lazy) to decide which necklaces I should layer up that day.  But I do have a great love for prints and colours, so when I can't make a decision on which look to go for I just mix a hint of everything together!

SUMMER FESTIVAL OOTD | Sponsored: IKRUSH

I know that a lot of people who has been or still waiting to go to a music festival this season.  I've never been to one myself but always wanted to (especially in America), so next year I might give it a go!  The thought of putting up a tent (which I can't do), unpacking snacks and tons of drinks excites me!
When I received this gorgeous Adali floral set from ikrush, I suddenly thought of festivals and boho girls, you know… The ones wearing headbands, dream catcher necklaces, tassels and so on.  An idea popped into my head, so that's why I came up with this look.  Not because I was going to a festival this summer or anything, just because I got inspired!  I received this set a few weeks ago but I've just recovered from being ill so I didn't have a chance to shoot this look until yesterday (thanks to my boyfriend who took these lovely photos for me).  The good thing is that this set is currently on sale (click here), the colour is vibrant, material is soft and stretchy, but I really wish they could come in a size S (the sizing are S/M or M/L only) as the top is too big for me but the skirt fits perfectly!

EASTER INSPIRED | OOTD

Okay, I hope you're all having a lovely easter weekend, and allowing yourself to eat some (or a lot) of chocolates!  I put this quick and easy outfit together - the colours here are very much inspired by the easter theme; colourful eggs, cute bunny rabbits and all that, and to keep going with the pastel trend.  However, when I first bought this trousers (last summer), the colours were so vibrant… But obviously as I continue to wear and wash it, the colours kind of faded a little.  Surprisingly, it still look and feel amazing on, so I like it a lot.
And yes, my hair is wet for this post.  I thought wet messy hair (along with the shoes) would toughen up this sweet look so it would not look too sweet (or maybe because I couldn't be bothered to dry it).  Also, a big thank you to my sister for taking these photos for me - you did a really good job!  She has just created a new Lookbook as well, make sure you check it out here.

UGLY SANDALS

First of all, excuse my unpainted toenails (who cares), and yes, I had a haircut too!  You might of seen it on Instagram already, if not take a closer look here.
Anyway, most of you are probably aware of the ugly sandals trend.  They are a must have for this season, not only because they are comfortable, but they are light-weight and airy.  I bought this pair from Primark because they were cheap and look/feel just as amazing compared to other brands that are selling for higher price.  These are available in black and white.  Personally, I love wearing white as the colour looks so fresh in spring/summer, and everybody seems to choose a darker tone over a light tone anyway.  I love when people compliment my white 'ugly sandals' - I think they're absolutely awesome!
Have a wonderful day,

LONDON FASHION WEEK AW14 | OOTD

Hello!  I hope everybody's having a good saturday so far!  It was really sunny earlier… that was really nice - I guess it's okay when a British person say that kind of thing, right?
Anyway, I know London Fashion Week is over, but it doesn't mean that it's over for many fashion lovers out there including myself.  Many of you who are reading this right now probably didn't even know that I was at London Fashion Week again.  It's most likely because I don't make every 'announcements', when I think I should?  I was there to work hard, while having lots of fun really.
Last season, I didn't have any time (or a photographer) to capture my outfits - not that I had lots of time to run around in many fancy outfits either.  Work and being professional comes first!  Although, this season, I hung out (for a whole day) at Somerset House with an absolutely awesome girl, who has kindly took some quick snaps of what I was wearing that day.  The weather was terrible though.  Heavy rain and wind, so shooting outdoor would of been a disaster!
I was inspired by monochrome, sporty look and a pop of colour that day!
