BLACK MOHAIR | OOTD
I've always been a fan of the faux mohair jumpers and cardigans. They have that unusual look and texture that I like, plus they're very soft and comfortable to wear on a regular basis. Last year, I bought a v-neck mohair jumper from Topshop, and to be honest with you, I worn it twice since I bought it. The problem wasn't the fact that my mum mistaken it as a rug and thought I looked like a 'walking-grass' (because it was green/yellowish), but it turned out to be quite big for me. I always feel like mohair jumpers are more difficult to wear on it's own (especially when they're v-neck) as the weight kind of drags it down and the only way I can describe the material is like a cheap-knitted winter scarf. I constantly had to pull it up, so it put me off from wearing it. Luckily, I've found a solution to that problem… Wear another top such as a shirt, blouse or even a turtle neck jumper underneath. By doing it that way, you can dress it up by adding layers of necklaces or wear a scarf, then nobody will know that your jumper was too big for you!
I got this faux mohair cardigan from Primark, it is surprisingly warm and is stretchy enough incase I do want to wear a thick layer underneath. Personally, I'd wear it as a jacket because it does look rather fancy as a cardigan. But I wouldn't recommend wearing this as a coat when it's really cold, unless you know you won't be outside for too long. It's just another great item to have this season if you're looking to spice up an outfit. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but you really don't need to over-spend on something you're not sure about. As long as the quality is good, you look and feel good in it, then your money is well-spent. And it's black, you can't really go wrong with that!
